KiCad DIP component models used in the Robotron reference-board reconstruction Upstream: https://gitlab.com/kicad/libraries/kicad-packages3D Pinned revision: 8975715167d1a76f9b44be155ac02326f704cdbb Directory: Package_DIP.3dshapes Main author credited upstream: Maurice (easyw); further contributors in the upstream generator and CREDITS.md, preserved in source/. Six STEP files carry GPL-3.0-or-later with the design exception. DIP-24_W15.24mm.step credits kicad StepUp (2018) and carries CC-BY-SA-4.0 with the KiCad libraries exception. These file-specific notices are preserved verbatim in source/*.step, with the full GPL and CC BY-SA texts in source/. The upstream collection LICENSE.md (CC BY-SA 4.0 with the KiCad libraries exception) is also preserved. This notice does not replace either licence. The redistributed component library and its derived meshes are NOT MIT assets. Modifications by the DAC project, 2026-10-11: - tessellated STEP geometry using CadQuery 2.5.2 / OCP 7.7.2; - centered each package in X/Y, retaining its original board plane and scale; - split the fused solid at its plastic side walls into body and lead meshes; - retained the design exception for these derivatives. No intentional change to the outer package shape or dimensions was made. See tools/convert-kicad.py, sources.json and models.json for reproduction, source hashes, mesh hashes and geometry bounds. The models identify physical package families, not the exact DDR manufacturer, mould revision or electrical function of every photographed chip. Pin-count matches, placement and orientation are provisional where the reference photo is ambiguous. No unverified electrical part numbers or resistor values are added. Board images remain separately credited to Old Crap Vintage Computing. They show another PC 1715, not Danila's exact 1715M/W motherboard. The derived models.json footprint coordinates are measured from STEP lead sections at the seating plane by tools/convert-kicad.py. They retain the corresponding source model licence, like the derived tessellated meshes. 2026-10-14: TO-92_Inline.step from Package_TO_SOT_THT.3dshapes, same pinned revision; kicad StepUp / FreeCAD authors and TO_SOT_CREDITS.md preserved. Licence: CC-BY-SA-4.0 with KiCad libraries exception. Derived body/leads are separated at z=2.5 mm and centered at x=1.27 mm; geometry unchanged. See tools/convert-transistors.py and transistors.json. The keyboard uses this generic package; manufacturer mould, exact lead bends and electrical part identification remain provisional. These derivatives are NOT MIT. 2026-10-14, export v37: keyboard-controller DIP bodies/leads now reuse the same pinned library. tools/configure-keyboard-components.py rotates upstream footprints -90 degrees for board holes and solder joints. Package shapes are unchanged; positioning, socket seating and artwork are photo estimates.
